Freeze recovery at San Antonio Botanical Garden 2021

In mid February 2021 we had our coldest, longest freeze in many decades.

Photos from visits on Feb 26, March 23, April 21, May 13

Citrus section - There were about a dozen various citrus trees southeast of the "Old Fashioned Garden" section near the old Carriage House entrance. They "aren't there anymore".

Almond verbena - there's a fairly large almond verbena that eventually got cut back to the ground. It has a pleasant wafting almond/benzaldehyde aroma. It's in bloom about half the time and then there's always butterflies and bees feeding.

Reference photo from last year (May 2020) for comparison.
